About the collection
Readings come from historical editions on Project Gutenberg, Standard Ebooks and Hindi Wikisource. Source references accompany each reading. Search uses words and suggested themes, not embeddings; imported theme tags are automatic suggestions. Signed-in readers can ask for an AI-generated reading of any poem, generated on request rather than pre-written. Saved poems stay in this browser only. If you're signed in, the poems you open are logged against your account to power your own playlist recommendations; they are not shown to other readers. What you type to Antara is not saved by default, but it is not private from our processors: a feeling you describe is sent to OpenAI to understand it, match poems and choose among them. Antara separately records, for each recommendation request, the language, a short/medium/long length bucket, the poems returned and what you did with them (opened, saved, shared); signed-in readers' records are linked to their account and also carry emotion tags inferred from the text, but never the text itself. The text of what you type is stored only if a signed-in account has the optional search-history setting turned on, which is off by default and which the app does not yet offer a switch for (earlier versions did store signed-in readers' browse-search text, and any such older records remain until deleted). Comments, likes and playlists you create are stored with your account; comments show your display name publicly and playlists are public unless you make them private. Usage statistics. Antara uses Google Analytics 4 to count anonymous visits and which features are used (for example, that a poem was opened, saved or shared). It records the page you are on, your approximate region, device and browser type, and the campaign link you arrived from, and it sets cookies in your browser to tell visits apart. Google Signals and ad personalization are switched off, and Antara does not send Google your name, email address, sign-in details, or the feelings and searches you type — those are never sent to Google Analytics.
